31st May – 9th June 2018
with Kelsang Gyalten, Resident Teacher of KMC Frankfurt.

This retreat will be a special opportunity to strengthen our connection with Buddha Prajnaparamita and enhance our understanding and experience of emptiness. It will be based on the empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita and commentaries given during the NKT-IKBU Spring Festival 2018 in the UK.

Teacher
As a devoted disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Kelsang Gyalten has practiced Buddhism for 14 years. Studies, practice, and considerable retreat experience have made her a warm-hearted and inspiring teacher who teaches Buddha’s teachings in such a clear and joyful way that everyone can use it in their daily lives.

Programme
The retreat starts on the first day with supper at 6pm followed by the introduction at 8.15pm and finishes on the last day with lunch. There will be several meditation and teaching sessions every day as well as a session with chanted prayers. At break times each participant helps with small jobs and there is also plenty of time to go for walks in the beautiful surroundings of Kailash IRC.

Silence
All participants observe silence in the morning until lunchtime. The library and meditation room are silent zones all day.

Language
The course will be conducted in English, please contact us if you need translation.

Volunteering
Kailash IRC is a non-profit charity and the Retreat Centre, B&B and courses are all run by a few volunteers. Therefore it is common practice during an event at Kailash IRC that every participant helps with some jobs (e.g. chopping vegetables, washing dishes, tidying up etc.) and the final cleaning at the end of the course.
