POST – FESTIVAL RETREAT

Switzerland – Italy – Austria

with Gen Kelsang Devi

ADVICE FROM ATISHA’S HEART

Following from the Dharma Festival of Switzerland, Italy and Austria, Gen Devi will lead this retreat based on the teachings of the renowned Kadampa Text, Advice from Atisha’s heart. This is a special opportunity to deepen our understanding of the teachings in our heart by receiving guidance from a qualified teacher. In this way we are able to approach the challenges of daily life with a good heart and fresh perspective.

What to expect

The retreat starts with an introduction on Sunday evening. In the following days we can enjoy four guided meditation sessions a day to put the teachings into practice.

In the breaks everyone helps with a small job, such as chopping vegetables, serving etc.. There will be plenty of time for walks in the alpine surroundings as well as enjoying the company of like-minded people. The whole retreat will be held in English with translation if needed.

Teacher

Gen Kelsang Devi is the Resident Teacher of KMC Switzerland and Kailash IRC and a modern Buddhist nun. She is a senior teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition having studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for 20 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

Gen Devi’s experience makes her teachings and guidance in retreats very powerful, clear and practical. Her joyful warmth and humour make them accessible to everyone.
