Post Fall Festival Retreat with Gen Kelsang Devi

THE MIRROR OF DHARMA

Following on from the International Fall Festival in IKRC Arizona, Gen Kelsang Devi will lead this retreat based on the commentary and teachings to the practices ‘The Mirror of Dharma’ book. This is a precious opportunity to engage in qualified retreat and to deepen our understanding and experience of the teachings. An opportunity to progress along the blissful path to enlightenment in the perfect conditions of retreat.

Although this retreat is guided as a whole, not every session is guided. Some sessions will be self guided to enable practitioners to deepen their own experience and confidence in meditation.

         Teacher

Gen Kelsang Devi is a senior teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition having studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for almost 20 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

During this time Gen Devi has engaged in extensive silent meditation retreat and has also taught and skilfully guided numerous group retreats ranging from a few days to three months both at Tharpaland IRC and internationally. These are very popular with students from all over the world as well as with the local community, and her regular classes, programmes and courses are greatly enjoyed by all.

Volunteering

Kailash IRC is a charity and the Retreat Centre is run by a few volunteers. It is also fun to connect with fellow retreaters while helping out with small tasks. For this reason every participant helps with some jobs (e.g. chopping vegetables, washing dishes, tidying up etc). and the final cleaning at the end of the course.
