THE HEART PRACTICE OF KADAMPAS

A guided Meditation Retreat about the practice of Heart Jewel.

In this retreat we have the precious opportunity to experience the heart practice of the Kadampas, the practice of Heart Jewel or to deepen our understanding.

Kelsang Jampel will provide basic explanations of the Guru-Yoga practice of Tsongkhapa and Dharma protector Dorje Shugden. By taking these explanations to heart in our meditation, we will transform our minds into the spiritual path.

Je Tsongkhapa and Dorje Shugden are both emanations of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri. By relying on them, our Dharma wisdom naturally increases and all obstacles to our spiritual development are removed. And the more wisdom we have, the less ignorance we have. The less ignorance we have, the less we suffer. After all, our suffering will cease completely.

If we sincerely and for a long time rely on this practice, we will understand from our own experience how special it is.

Everyone is welcome!

“Happiness and suffering are states of mind, so their main causes can’t be found outside the mind. The real source of happiness is inner peace.”

Silence during the retreat

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we observe silence until lunchtime. Being in silence allows the mind to settle and find peace. In this way you will be able to concentrate better during meditation and to leave all the stress and busyness that we are normally immersed in behind. In the afternoon and evening retreaters are encouraged to discuss their experience of the meditation and teachings, so they can help each other to overcome obstacles and gain deeper experience.

Language and Translation

This course will be held in German and if needed translated into English, however we try to help to organise more translations if possible.

Volunteering

Kailash IRC is a charity and the Retreat Centre is run by a few volunteers. It is also fun to connect with fellow retreaters while helping out with small tasks. For this reason every participant helps with some jobs (e.g. chopping vegetables, washing dishes, tidying up etc). and the final cleaning at the end of the course.

Find here more practical information about your stay.
