with Kadam Lucy James
Meditations on the generation stage and completion stage of Venerable Vajrayogini
On this retreat Kadam Lucy James will lead meditations on the Highest Yoga Tantra practice of Venerable Vajrayogini that lead to the experience of indivisible great bliss and emptiness.
This exalted wisdom, which is the very heart of Tantric practice, liberates the mind from all obstructions and leads to the attainment of enlightenment in this life.
The retreat is suitable for all levels and is open to anyone who has received the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment of Vajrayogini.
Kadam Lucy James is one of the senior teachers of Kadampa Buddhism. Kadam Lucy has taught extensively in England, Florida, and San Francisco, and helped set up many thriving meditation centers in the past 34 years. She is regularly invited to teach courses around the United States and United Kingdom due to her skill in presenting both simple and profound subjects with great clarity. For many years, one of her main jobs was to help with the editing and production of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books, and she has engaged in extensive meditation retreat.
Kadam Lucy is appreciated for her deep experience, clear mind, and inspiring yet practical presentation of Buddha’s teachings and meditations. She joyfully shows how to make these teachings immediately effective in our busy modern lives.
The retreat starts on the first day with supper at 6pm followed by the introduction at 8.15pm and finishes on the last day with lunch. There will be several meditation and teaching sessions every day as well as a session with chanted prayers. At break times each participant helps with small jobs and there is also plenty of time to go for walks in the beautiful surroundings of Kailash IRC.
All participants observe silence in the morning until lunchtime. The library and meditation room are silent zones all day.
The course will be held in English, please contact us if you need translation.
Kailash IRC is a non-profit charity and the Retreat Centre, B&B and courses are all run by a few volunteers. Therefore it is common practice during an event at Kailash IRC that every participant helps with some jobs (e.g. chopping vegetables, washing dishes, tidying up etc.) and the final cleaning at the end of the course.
